Graduation

On May 10 Chris graduated from Wayland Baptist University. We could not be more proud of him. Ever since we moved to Hawaii he has been taking classes 2 nights a week working to finish up the degree he started back in 1989. It has been a sacrifice for all of us and required so much hard work on his part, but on May 10 it was all worth it as we watched him walk across the stage. During the ceremony Chris received the outstanding student of the year award. It was an award for outstanding acedemic performance, service to the community, and Christian life and witness. As they were reading about the award, I was thinking how much Chris deserved the award but wondered if everyone else would agree with me. I started crying (with joy and pride) when they read his name and awarded him with this outstanding honor.
