5 months--already!

On June 24 Madalyn turned 5 months old. It truly seems like the days are flying by. She is starting to sit up longer by herself (but we still need to be close to catch her from doing a side or front head fall). She giggles and coos all the time, especially at her big sister. She is generally just so happy and content and at least so far seems very laid back. She is playing with her toys more and more and starting to transfer toys from one hand to the other. She LOVES to eat her hands and fingers and most often has some portion of her hand in her mouth. She is most happy when Moriah is playing with her or when we are talking, singing, or reading directly to her. She can give the most heart warming smiles.

Daddy and Moriah fed Madalyn her first rice cereal on her 5 month birthday. Although she ate it, she immediately threw it all up after finishing. We continue to pray she eats baby food better than her big sister did (Moriah never ate baby food and was such a challenge to feed early on. Now she eats great).

Madalyn has rolled over a couple times (probably by accident) but definitely still has not gotten the hang of rolling over. She is more content to just lay there and seems in no big hurry to get moving.
