Season of Transition

We have not been good at keeping everyone updated about our future plans. We apologize. Let me take just a moment to give you a breif run down of what the next months involve.

The last week of August we moved out of our apartment and into a temporary (and fully furnished) home for our last month. The girls are handling the first move nicely, and it is such a blessing to have most of our stuff sold or given away and be able to focus on the final packing and saying goodbyes.

September 28 we will leave HI. We will fly to OK and spend a few days. Oct 1-6 we will be in TX with Chris' family and then we will return to OK for more time with Monica's family. We are really looking forward to some time of just being a family and hanging out with friends and family.

Oct 20 we will leave for VA where we will spend 2 months in training, orientation, and preparation to return overseas. We believe (and pray) this will be a significant time for all of us in our preparation for this next season of our journey.

Dec 18 we will return to spend Christmas time with our families in OK and TX. It has been years since either of us have been with our families for Christmas and the girls have never gotten to be with grandparents for Christmas so this will be a very special year.

January 2, 2009 we leave from OK headed to our new home in South Asia.

Please pray for us during these next months of change, chaos (at times), and transition. Pray especially for the girls as this is a lot to take in and for us to have wisdom walking with them through all that is coming. Moriah already talks about going on the airplane, going to see grandma, seeing the dinosaurs with Marmie, going to Virginia, then to South Asia, and then come back home. It is so cute to watch her little mind processing everything.
